The above service is provided by the Urban Development Unit of the Council. These services are provided according to Urban Development Ordinance of No.41 of 1978, Urban Council Ordinance and Gazette Notification and Circulars issued time to time.

Building applications, application for Residential certificate and application for land division will be scrutinized and approval will be given. Quantity of Land, ownership of the property and the size of the building will be taken into consideration and approval will be given.

Once a complaint is received regarding an unauthorized building, our Council officer will check it directly and take Immediate and appropriate action.
